Senior backend developer for automotive startup (PHP - Nette) 🚀

We are building a dedicated team for our client. We are working on a platform for automotive dealers that digitalizes their day-to-day operations.

Job description

• You’ll join a small, self-organized team and take ownership of backend development.
• You’ll work both on new integrations and on refactoring existing modules.
• You’ll use Nette 3, a MySQL database, and tools like GitLab, Jira, Slack, PHPCS and PHPStan.
• The project runs in a Dockerized environment on Kubernetes (DigitalOcean) with fully automated CI/CD.

What you need to have

• Strong knowledge of PHP and backend development for larger-scale products (senior level).
• Ability to take a User Story from the PO and design a technical solution.
• Understanding of design patterns, software architecture, and scalable solutions.
• Experience building REST APIs.
• A strong sense for writing clean, maintainable code.
• Experience with frameworks like Nette, Symfony, or Laravel.

What is nice to have

• Experience with frontend frameworks such as Vue.js or React.
• Overlap with DevOps (infrastructure setup, CI/CD pipelines).
• A team-first mindset — you value collaboration over individualism and understand Scrum/agile principles.
